Teams for this fixture were selected from the results in the Track & Field League and Championships in 2008.
Several athletes were unable to accept the invitation to compete due to other commitments – by Friday evening there was only one space in the team not filled. This was filled by a volunteer at the fixture. All athletes who accepted the invitation attended on the day.

These performances were well supported by all the other athletes who competed to the best of their ability and gave vocal support also.
It was a pity that many athletes departed as soon as they had competed – some without informing the team managers.
This should not detract form a good event which was enjoyed by all present.
I should like to thank Rob Andrew for acting as Boys team
